Connect GRAFHIX to ChatGPT

Last updated: June 22, 2026

This connector is for a different job than the GRAFHIX-for-Claude connector: it doesn't do auto-layout. ChatGPT already has strong native image generation/editing (regenerating a photo, expanding a background, retouching) — this connector's only job is to bring the finished result into your GRAFHIX account as an editable project, ready to add text, logos, and more on top.

Connector URL

Use this URL when creating the connector in ChatGPT:

https://grafhix.com/mcp/photo

How to connect

  1. Turn on Developer mode: in ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings (bottom of the page), and toggle Developer mode on. Available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education plans.
  2. Go to Settings → Apps & Connectors and click Create. Fill in:
    • Connector name: e.g. "GRAFHIX Photo Import"
    • Description: e.g. "Import a finished/edited photo into my GRAFHIX account"
    • Connector URL: paste the URL above (https://grafhix.com/mcp/photo)
Click Create — ChatGPT will connect, ask you to log in to GRAFHIX and approve access (if you haven't already), and then list the tools it found.
  3. In any chat, click the + button next to the message box → More → select your GRAFHIX connector to add it to that conversation.
  4. Generate or edit a photo with ChatGPT as usual (regenerate, expand the background, retouch, etc.) and wait for the image to appear.
  5. Once you can see the image, send a new, separate message — e.g. "import this into GRAFHIX" — asking ChatGPT to send it over.
Important — always use two separate messages. First message: ask ChatGPT to generate or edit the photo, and wait for it to appear. Second message: ask it to import that image into GRAFHIX. If you ask for both in the same message (e.g. "generate X and send it to GRAFHIX"), ChatGPT won't have the file ready yet and will ask you to save and re-upload the image manually instead.
Want auto-layout instead (AI builds a complete design with text/headline/CTA layers from a prompt or a template)? That's the other connector, built for Claude — see grafhix.com/claude.

What ChatGPT can do once connected

Import a finished photo

Bring a photo ChatGPT just generated or edited (regenerated, background-expanded, retouched) into your GRAFHIX account as a new project — placed full-bleed, pixel-for-pixel, ready to open and add a few layers on top (logo, caption, CTA) if you want.

See available canvas sizes

List the canvas size presets available in GRAFHIX (Instagram post, Facebook cover, A4 poster, etc.) so the photo gets cropped to the right shape on import.

Example prompts (two messages each)

Message 1 — generate/edit
"Expand the background of this photo to fill a square Instagram post"
Message 2 — after the image appears
"Import this into GRAFHIX"
Message 1 — generate/edit
"Retouch this product photo"
Message 2 — after the image appears
"Import the result into GRAFHIX as a Facebook cover"
"What canvas sizes can I import into in GRAFHIX?"

Managing or revoking access

You can see and revoke ChatGPT's access at any time from GRAFHIX → Settings → API Tokens. The connection will be listed as "ChatGPT (OAuth)" — click Revoke to disconnect it immediately.

Privacy

ChatGPT can only access what you approve during the connection step — see our Privacy Policy for details on how OAuth-connected apps are handled.
